Meet Dr. Libfeld
Dr. Tamara Libfeld, Psy.D., C.Psych., is a licensed psychologist with dual registration as a Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist and a Family Psychologist. She earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. With over a decade of experience across diverse mental health settings, including the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre (now the Sick Kids Centre for Community Mental Health), therapeutic day schools, and private practices, Dr. Libfeld brings a wealth of expertise to her work with children, adolescents, and families.
Dr. Libfeld provides psychotherapy for young children (ages 2–5), play therapy for children (ages 6–11), talk therapy for preteens and teens (ages 12–18), as well as family therapy. She also offers comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents, including psychoeducational, ADHD, and diagnostic/social-emotional evaluations. Her assessment services cover a range of needs, such as learning disorders, giftedness, mental health concerns, and planning for post-secondary education.
Dr. Libfeld places a strong emphasis on creating a warm and compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic environment, prioritizing trust, patience, safety, and understanding.
